To all the classes:
I mentioned this in class last night, but I would like all of you to start working on creating a jig solo using the steps we have learned. I would love for some of you if not all of you to put together at least 32 bars of a jig solo. We will work on them in class next week. The solo can be mapped out or improvise. For those of you who are wanting more feedback and critique we will be working on that as well.

Winter Term 2010: Apples in Winter (Jan. 11)
Percussive Choreography:
In the Percussive Choreography class we worked with the tune Apples in Winter. Thanks to Joe Root, Felim Egan and Brian Hart for playing the tune. The goal was to create a step from that tune. We worked on creating something for the first 4 bars of the A part and then the next 4 bars. Then we worked on the B part and eventually put both parts together and danced to the tune.
Below are the steps that we created. Joe has generously recorded the tune at three different speeds. I will email the tunes to those of you who are in the class.
