Sunday class project

Last term in the Sunday class we learned several reel steps and then put them into an order for a performance piece. Yesterday we reviewed all of those steps and then turned them into jig steps. Wow what a project. So bellow is a some rusty footage of the new steps. They are really rough but you get the idea. We can work on them and clean the steps up.

Jig steps: Jan. 18-25

Bellow are some jig steps we covered in class during the weeks of Jan. 18 - Jan. 25. Some if not all of these steps were covered in the Sunday, Monday and Tuesday classes.

Sunday Class: Inis Oirr Set

For those of you who are wanting more feedback and critique we will be working on that as well.

Winter Term 2010: Apples in Winter (Jan. 11)

Percussive Choreography:
In the Percussive Choreography class we worked with the tune Apples in Winter. Thanks to Joe Root, Felim Egan and Brian Hart for playing the tune. The goal was to create a step from that tune. We worked on creating something for the first 4 bars of the A part and then the next 4 bars. Then we worked on the B part and eventually put both parts together and danced to the tune.

Below are the steps that we created. Joe has generously recorded the tune at three different speeds. I will email the tunes to those of you who are in the class.
